Dr. Kevin Phipps is a board-certified veterinary cardiologist at VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital. He received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2017.
After graduating, Dr. Phipps moved to West Los Angeles, where he completed his rotating surgical/medicine internship, cardiology specialty internship, and a three-year cardiology residency, all at VCA West Los Angeles. He achieved board certification in cardiology at the end of his residency in 2022 and subsequently joined the staff as a cardiologist.
Dr. Phipps' clinical interests include:
- Interventional treatment of congenital and acquired heart diseases
- Emergency treatment of heart failure
- Developing long-term relationships with animals and their owners
Originally from the suburbs of Denver, Colorado, Dr. Phipps now calls West Los Angeles home. Outside of his professional life, he enjoys various activities such as hiking, camping, sports, and attending live music events. He's also passionate about traveling, cooking, and exploring the diverse culinary scene in Los Angeles.
